1. Describe InfoDx. What is it, how will it be used and who will use it?Local family posing for their first family picture

InfoDx is a medical decision support software tool available at no cost to underserved peoples of the world.  It brings readily accessible, current medical treatment to parts of the world desperate for information and short on medical education.

2. What is the background of InfoDx?

InfoDx, Inc., formed in 2003, was formerly known as NxOpinion, Inc.  R&D efforts for InfoDx are contracted to affiliate non-profit company, Robertson Research Institute (RRI), which oversees InfoDx operations and reports to a shared Board of Directors.

3.  Who is InfoDx intended for?

InfoDx is intended for underserved areas and will initially target countries having at least the beginnings of a health infrastructure to sustain life.  It may also be available to underserved areas of developed countries such as free clinics.

4. What are the medical and health challenges of underserved communities and countries and how will InfoDx make a difference?

Underserved communities and countries lack many of the health care “benefits” we take for granted here in the US.  Through the distribution of InfoDx software, Robertson Technology companies will help solve the problem of outdated medical information and insufficiently trained healthcare workers around the world.  In addition, information on local health issues will be fed back to identify areas needing specific equipment and medicines.

5. How will InfoDx affect nursing practitioners?

In many underserved countries, nurse practitioners and nurses are the closest thing to “doctors” the communities have.  InfoDx will allow them to work more efficiently and effectively in the clinics and communities they are already serving.

6. Why InfoDx?

While there are many variations of free medical software available, only InfoDx shares all of the following features:

  • Portable, not web-dependent
  • Free hardware as needed
  • Free software, updates and technical support
  • Covers specialty, emergency, chronic, preventative and global medicine adding cultural sensitivities
  • Allows for statistical gathering and feedback
